Get the installer from this page
Download AbuSayed-1.2.16.pkg, then compare the published version, file size and SHA-256 checksum above.

Open the installer
Open the downloaded .pkg package and run the installer. Allow macOS to verify its developer signature and notarization.
নামানো .pkg ফাইলটি খুলে ইনস্টলার চালান। macOS-কে সাইন আর নোটারাইজেশন যাচাই করতে দিন।

Approve as administrator
The installer puts the input method in /Library/Input Methods/, so macOS asks for an administrator password or Touch ID. It takes about a minute, and the installer follows your Mac’s language, English or Bangla.
ইনস্টলারটি ইনপুট মেথডটি /Library/Input Methods/-এ রাখে, তাই macOS অ্যাডমিন পাসওয়ার্ড বা Touch ID চাইবে। মিনিটখানেক লাগে। আপনার ম্যাকের ভাষা অনুযায়ী ইনস্টলারটি ইংরেজি বা বাংলায় দেখাবে।

Setup finishes by itself
Keyboard Setup then adds Abu Sayed to your input menu, shows the menu in the menu bar and switches to it. Type ami and press Space for আমি; Control + Space (usually) switches back to ABC. If it didn’t switch, open Abu Sayed in /Library/Input Methods or choose Keyboard Setup from its input menu.
এরপর কীবোর্ড সেটআপ ইনপুট মেনুতে আবু সাঈদ যোগ করে, মেনুটি মেনু বারে দেখায় আর আবু সাঈদ চালু করে দেয়। ami লিখে Space চাপলেই আমি; ABC-তে ফিরতে সাধারণত Control + Space চাপুন। চালু না হলে /Library/Input Methods থেকে Abu Sayed খুলুন, অথবা এর ইনপুট মেনু থেকে কীবোর্ড সেটআপ বেছে নিন।

On the last setup screen, choose Take the tour for phonetic practice, your current options, animated layout previews and text shortcuts. Reopen it any time with Keyboard Tour in Abu Sayed’s input menu. Homebrew uses the same installer and guide.
সেটআপের শেষ পাতায় কীবোর্ডটা ঘুরে দেখুন বেছে নিলে ফোনেটিক লেখা, আপনার বর্তমান অপশন, লেআউটের অ্যানিমেশন আর টেক্সট শর্টকাট দেখতে পাবেন। পরে ইনপুট মেনুর কীবোর্ড ঘুরে দেখুন থেকে আবার খুলতে পারবেন। Homebrew-তেও একই ইনস্টলার আর গাইড ব্যবহার হয়।

Switch from the menu bar
Open the input menu (globe or language icon) and select Abu Sayed. Control + Space commonly switches input sources, subject to your macOS keyboard-shortcut settings.
মেনু বার থেকেই বদলান
ইনপুট মেনুটি (গ্লোব বা ভাষার আইকন) খুলে Abu Sayed বেছে নিন। সাধারণত Control + Space চাপলেই আগের আর এখনকার ইনপুট সোর্স বদলায়; আপনার macOS-এর শর্টকাট সেটিং আলাদা হলে সেটাই কাজ করবে।

When Bangla is missing from the list.

Check that the installer finished
In Finder, use Go → Go to Folder and open /Library/Input Methods/; confirm Abu Sayed.app is present.

Run setup again
Open Abu Sayed.app from that folder. Keyboard Setup redoes any missing step, and Having trouble? shows how to do each step yourself. Close and reopen Keyboard Settings to refresh its list.
ওই ফোল্ডার থেকে Abu Sayed.app খুলুন। কীবোর্ড সেটআপ বাকি ধাপগুলো আবার করে দেবে, আর সমস্যা হচ্ছে?-তে প্রতিটি ধাপ নিজে করার নিয়ম দেখাবে। কীবোর্ড সেটিংস বন্ধ করে আবার খুলুন।

Add the input source again
Return to System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit → + → Bangla → আবু সাঈদ. If Abu Sayed is already in your configured list but missing from the input menu, remove only Abu Sayed and add it again.
আবার System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit → + → Bangla → আবু সাঈদ খুলুন। তালিকায় আগে থেকেই থাকলেও মেনুতে না দেখালে শুধু আবু সাঈদ সরিয়ে আবার যোগ করুন।
Retry from Terminal
Close Keyboard Settings and run this without sudo. It adds Abu Sayed to the input menu and switches to it:
"/Library/Input Methods/Abu Sayed.app/Contents/MacOS/Abu Sayed" --enable-input-source --select-input-source &&
killall -u "$(id -un)" TextInputMenuAgentThen reopen Keyboard Settings. If the command reports an error, include its output when contacting support. Some macOS sessions still require a new login to discover a newly installed input method; a retry cannot guarantee activation.
কমান্ড চালিয়ে আবার কীবোর্ড সেটিংস খুলুন। ত্রুটি দেখালে সহায়তা চাওয়ার সময় সেটি পাঠান। কিছু macOS সেশনে নতুন ইনপুট মেথড খুঁজে পেতে নতুন লগইন লাগতে পারে।
Stop unless the installer came from this page, its version and checksum match, and macOS developer verification succeeds. Contact support instead.
ইনস্টলারটি এই পেজ থেকেই এসেছে, সংস্করণ ও চেকসাম মিলেছে এবং macOS যাচাই করতে পেরেছে — এগুলো নিশ্চিত না হলে ইনস্টল করবেন না, বরং আমাদের জানান।
05 — Uninstall
Remove the app and the local data separately.
Decide first whether you want to keep your learned words. Removing the app does not automatically delete local support data.
One command, if your version includes the uninstaller.
Newer versions ship an uninstaller inside the app. In Terminal, run the command below and enter your password. It turns Abu Sayed off in the input menu, removes the app and its installer record, and keeps your learned words. Add --remove-data to delete them too, or --dry-run to see each step first.

নতুন সংস্করণে অ্যাপের ভেতরেই আনইনস্টলার থাকে। টার্মিনালে উপরের কমান্ডটি চালিয়ে পাসওয়ার্ড দিন। এটি ইনপুট মেনু থেকে আবু সাঈদ সরায়, অ্যাপটি মুছে দেয়, আর আপনার শেখা শব্দগুলো রেখে দেয়। সেগুলোও মুছতে চাইলে শেষে --remove-data যোগ করুন। Homebrew ব্যবহার করলে brew uninstall --cask abu-sayed চালান; শেখা শব্দও মুছতে --zap যোগ করুন।

Switch to another input source
Select ABC or another keyboard from the menu bar.

Remove the Abu Sayed sources
In System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit, select each Abu Sayed source and choose −.
System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit-এ প্রতিটি Abu Sayed সোর্স বেছে নিয়ে − চাপুন।

Move the input method to Trash
In Finder, open /Library/Input Methods/ and move Abu Sayed.app to Trash. Administrator approval may be required.
Finder-এ /Library/Input Methods/ খুলে Abu Sayed.app ট্র্যাশে দিন। প্রশাসকের অনুমতি লাগতে পারে।

Optional: delete learned data
Skip this to preserve learned data for a reinstall. For full removal, move ~/Library/Application Support/Abu Sayed/ to Trash.
আবার ইনস্টল করলে শেখা শব্দগুলো রাখতে চাইলে এই ধাপটি বাদ দিন। পুরোপুরি মুছতে চাইলে ফোল্ডারটি ট্র্যাশে দিন।

Log out and log in
This refreshes the macOS input-method list.
